Weaned calves
Our weaned calves are young males weaned at around 50 to 60 days of age and marketed after a period of about four months in a weaning unit.
Mainly Montbéliarde, they may also, depending on our customers’ needs, be Prim’Holstein or crossbred with a beef breed.
Health preparation (including vaccination against the main respiratory diseases), dehorning, and an appropriate feeding program give these calves excellent performance from the moment they enter the fattening unit.
Intended for the production of early-maturing young bulls, they are marketed at a weight of around 180 to 200 kg. At our customers’ request, the time spent in the weaning unit can be extended to obtain heavier animals.
